Ask a customer to approve a plasmid, and read a plate CSV without retyping it
Send a plasmid to someone outside your lab by email. They sign in, read the map, and either approve that exact version or suggest an edit anchored to the region they mean. The approval records who approved it and when, it is pinned to the version they were shown, and if the sequence changes afterwards the plasmid says so. Separately, drop the plate CSV your synthesis vendor sends back into a Library folder and it opens as a plate, with each well matched to the construct it was ordered for and its resuspension volume worked out.
New
- Ask a customer to review a plasmid by email, and read their approval or their suggested edit on the map
- A gene block plate CSV becomes a plate in your Library folder, with its wells matched to their constructs
- Keep a copy of an order sheet in the folder you ordered from, and build a backbone and its inserts into a folder
- A whole plasmid sequencing run that passes on the exact version you sent now records that result on the plasmid, with the run kept as its evidence. A Sanger batch does not set it, and editing the sequence clears it
Improved
- The order sheet dialog asks for one thing at a time, checks the insertion site before anything is sent, and lets you add, drop and hand back rows
- A Sanger trace opens as wrapped rows you can read, with a header naming the instrument and run, find in sequence, and a colour key on every alignment view
- A trace that already has a plasmid opens aligned against it
- A sequencing ZIP reads as one row per sample with its plasmid suggested, instead of one row per file
- Picking a folder to import runs as one background job, keeps the folders inside it, and copies nothing twice
- Spreadsheets with formula columns recalculate in one pass, so a long sheet stops slowing down as it grows
- When you ask the assistant to count or total the rows of a log, it cites every row it counted and tells you which tabs it did not read
- The assistant keeps a result at the level your record claims, so a screen stays a candidate and a pending sequencing answer stays pending
- The CRISPR answer says what its off target search actually covered
Fixed
- Approving an AI change now commits it, including when the assistant read your notes earlier in the same turn
- A Gibson design gives you primers for the parts it can prime, instead of nothing at all when one part is repetitive
- Shift click keeps its selection, and dragging across the sequence no longer jumps rows
- Typing a step title replaces the seeded text instead of joining onto it
- A block's plus button opens the block menu, and the block actions stay beside their block
- Double clicking a plasmid in the Library opens that plasmid, once, and each map draws only its own features
- The Features tab opens on a plasmid built in Design Studio
- Switching workspaces clears the previous lab's protected regions
- An entry's linked count updates as soon as you save a change to its mentions
- Opening a trace saves nothing, and only Align stamps the verdict
