Link records to an entry
Connect plasmids, entries, files and tasks to an entry, and see what links back to it.
Links tie an entry to the plasmids, files, tasks and other entries it involves. The Linked panel shows them in one place.
Link a record while you write
- In the entry, type
@. - Search for the record and pick it.
The mention becomes a chip in the text and a link in the Linked panel.
Link a record without mentioning it
- Click Linked in the entry header.
- Click + (Add a link) in the panel.
- Choose Link a plasmid, entry or file… and pick the record. Or choose Link a task….
You can also use + Add property under the title to add a Plasmid, Linked entry or Task.
Read the Linked panel
The panel lists these groups. Empty groups are hidden.
| Group | What it holds |
|---|---|
| This entry links to | Mentions, manual links and attached files, grouped by type |
| Tasks | Tasks linked to the entry |
| Mentioned in | Other entries that link to this one |
| Started from | The chat that saved it, or the template it came from |
| Copied from | The file it is a copy of |
| In project | Where the entry sits on its project's canvas |
Click a row to open the record. A task opens in the same panel.
See every link in a group
- Click Show all under a group.
- Search and sort the full list there.
When an entry has more than 8 links, a Find in linked box filters every group by name.

Click Remove link on a link you added by hand.
